Steve Hodgson - CEO - PCA

Stephen Hodgson - Chief Executive

Stephen joined the Trade Association as a technical specialist in 2000 after 13 years working as a surveyor and manager in the preservation industry. He has been Chief Executive Officer of the Property Care Association since October 2012. Stephen is passionate about the industry in which he is proud to serve and is committed to delivering the highest possible standards of service and workmanship to consumers as well as first-rate representation and value for money to members of the Property Care Association. Stephen works hard to maintain strong links with organisations including RICS, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, TrustMark, STBA, BRE, National Flood Forum and the newly launched UKCMIB.

 

 

Sue Uttridge - Company Secretary - PCA

Sue Uttridge - Company Secretary

Sue joined the PCA in June 2007 when the Association relocated to Huntingdon. Sue provides support to the Board as Company Secretary, leads the team and has responsibility for the production of financial information. A role Sue very much enjoys is the organising of the AGM, Ventilation, Preservation, Structural Waterproofing and Invasive Weeds Conferences along with the Best Practice Awards Dinner.

 

 

Hannah Clarke  Mmbership  PCA

Hannah Clarke - Membership Manager

Hannah has been a part of the PCA team since 2007 and has experience across all areas of the Association. Hannah is currently the lead for Membership Services including recruitment, membership applications and the member audit process. As well as overseeing the membership process, Hannah is also conducting research into the possibility of the Association adopting a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system approach as the Association continues to grow in numbers and complexity.

 

 

James Berry  Technical Manager  PCA

James Berry - Head of Technical

James joined the PCA team as Technical Manager in 2016. James is a graduate of the University of Plymouth, where he achieved a BSc (Hons) in Applied Geology. Since graduating, he has worked in the property services industry, and more recently as a surveyor for a national preservation company. He holds both the CSRT and CSSW accreditations. He is the lead on the new Residential Ventilation Group sector of the PCA and is hugely passionate about the need for improving standards of ventilation in the existing UK housing stock.

 

 

Peter Fitzsimmons  Marketing  PCA

Peter Fitzsimons - Technical Manager (Invasive Weeds)

Peter studied Botany at UCL, Dundee and Nottingham Trent universities eventually gaining a PhD and going-on to work in a lab studying herbicide action at a cellular level. He went on to work in the UK biocides sector (wood protection) for nearly 20 years then stints at BASF and Reutgers Organics GmbH gave him a broad insight of European markets.

He joined the Association in 2018 and has lead responsibility for the Invasive Weed sector whilst also contributing to training and member support services for other sector groups too.

 

 

Paula Lopez Arce   Head of Research  PCA

Paula Lopez-Arce - Head of Research

Paula joined the PCA team in December 2017 as KTP Associate for the Residential Atmospheric Moisture Diagnostics project, which is part of a joint initiative between UCL and PCA. Paula has a PhD in Geology in 2004 from Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and has participated in a wide range of international research projects with universities in Europe, UK, Australia and America. Paula has also participated in research projects with private companies on architectural heritage conservation and restoration for more than 17 years, with expertise in moisture monitoring studies in the built environment. Projects have included the diagnosis of Physico-chemical weathering processes of building materials, treatment of rising damp, moisture and salt decay, the influence of environmental conditions and preservation strategies to avoid salt crystallisation, decay of historic buildings due to the effect of microclimate induced variations, desalination methods for conservation and durability of building materials. This new role for Paula will enable her to apply her significant experience and background in moisture in buildings to build on the work of the Knowledge Transfer Project to date.

Daniel Docking - PCA Staff Member

Daniel Docking - Technical Manager

Daniel joined the PCA team in 2022 with a wealth of practical experience and knowledge, gained by working within the invasive weeds sector as a remediation professional. Daniel has been part of a variety of remediation projects from large scale infustructure, to small domestic properties where he undertook surveys, herbicide treatments and excavations for a variety of invasive species. Daniel has gained several key qualifications including: CSJK for surveying, SSSTS for excavations and PA1, PA2 and PA6W for herbicide treatments. Daniel is an advocate for safe practices within the industry, especially around the use of herbicides, the growing concern of how they effect users, the environment and biodiversity.

Lisa Nieddu 2  Marketing  PCA

Lisa Nieddu - Marketing Executive

Lisa joined the Association in September 2017. Lisa has held marketing roles within the travel, manufacturing and print industries for almost 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to help grow the marketing function. In her new role, Lisa will support all aspects of marketing, especially the communications sent from the PCA to both members and external audiences. She will assist with the management of the PCA website ensuring it is kept up to date and help develop new content. Lisa will also help support the delivery of the ever-expanding programme of PCA conferences and attendance at external events.

 

 

Jade Stocker 2  Training Qualifications  PCA

Jade Stocker - Training Manager

Jade joined the PCA as our apprentice in January 2014 and following the completion of her NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration and City and Guilds Book Keeping and Accountancy, is now a fully-fledged administrator. Jade has also taken on the responsibility for the management of the Training and Certification function. She has recently successfully achieved the CMI Level 5 Management and Leadership qualification as part of her professional development with the PCA.

 

 

Jo Orlebar - PCA Staff Members

Jo Orlebar - Senior Training Administrator

Jo is the team’s Training and Certification Administrator. Jo assists in the running of all PCA training courses and examinations, including facilitating course bookings, liaising with course lecturers and delegates, organising course materials, invigilating examinations and maintaining the exam registers and issuing certificates.

 

 

Amber Topham - PCA Staff Members

Amber Topham - Training & Certification Administrator

Amber Topham joined the team in April 2018 as our new apprentice. Following successful completion of her Apprenticeship, Amber accepted a full-time position within the Training Team. As Training & Certification Administrator, she will be providing much-needed support to the busy PCA team, in order to continue delivering a high service level to members.

 

 

Harry Webb - PCA Staff Members

Harry Webb - Apprentice

Harry joined the team in November 2021 as our new administration apprentice. In his new role, Harry will be providing much-needed support to the busy PCA team, in order to continue delivering a high service level to members. We look forward to watching Harry progress in his role.

 

 

Katie Hawkins - PCA Staff Members

Katie Hawkins - Administrator

Katie Hawkins joined the PCA in June 2022 to assist the team and has over 6 years' experience in administration, with previous roles in Sales and Facilities Management. Whilst Katie will support all areas of the business, her main focus will be on membership and compliance.
